Plane & Pilot call ChartBook-S a daylight-compatible EFB

The ChartBook-S has landed in Plane & Pilot again! In the latest review of the EFB, John Ruley says "while we’ve yet to see any device that can completely replace paper charts, the latest version of FlightPrep's ChartBook comes very close — at least in daylight."

"Having the aircraft position clearly indicated on the airport diagram was nice, and would be genuinely useful at an unfamiliar airport," Ruley continues. "After departure, I switched between en route IFR and sectional views, and found the unit quite effective as a functional replacement for my IFR and VFR chart atlases. The ability to quickly switch to a sectional chart display was extremely helpful when weather forced me to change destinations and ATC cleared me for a visual approach under a low cloud deck in marginal visibility."

You can read the entire article in Plane & Pilot's March issue, including Ruley's entire 1.5-hour IFR flight from his home base in Modesto, Calif., to Bakersfield, Calif. with the ChartBook-S. Visit our website to learn more about the ChartBook-S or place your order today!
